Yes. Tanzanian customers pay via M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money or card. Kenyan customers pay via M-Pesa (Kenya) or card. Customers anywhere else in the world pay with their Visa or Mastercard — we receive the payment in TZS, and your card's bank charges your account in your local currency at its standard exchange rate (you'll see a TZS line item or its local-currency equivalent on your statement).

A business addon unlocks an industry-specific workflow on top of any core plan. For example, the Restaurant addon adds tables + KOTs + kitchen display, and the Hotel addon adds room booking. Addons are optional — you only pay for the ones your business actually needs.

No. The core plans already cover everyday POS, inventory, customers, suppliers, expenses, and reports — enough to run most retail, fashion, electronics, liquor, stationery, daily-needs, basic wholesale and basic service businesses without any addon. Addons unlock advanced industry workflows, not the basic ability to sell.

Most do — pharmacies, supermarkets, hardware shops, spare-parts shops, butcheries, salons, basic wholesale, retail, fashion, footwear, electronics, mobile, liquor, stationery and daily-needs stores all run cleanly on the standard plans (Starter, Business or Advanced). Restaurants attach the Restaurant POS addon (TZS 15,000/mo, included on Enterprise). Hotels attach the Hotel Management addon (TZS 35,000/mo, included on Enterprise). Customers running BOTH get a 10% bundle discount.

Hotel Management is TZS 35,000/mo (self-service from Business and above; included on Enterprise; Starter excluded — its 3-user cap is too small for a real hotel). The verticals you sometimes hear referred to as addons (Pharmacy, Supermarket, Hardware, Butcher, Salon, Wholesale) are NOT separate paid products today — their daily workflows already run on the standard plans, so you only pay for the plan that fits your scale.

Yes. Change your business type any time from Settings → Business. The matching addons become available; data and history are preserved.

Addons support the same billing cycles as plans — Monthly, Quarterly (10% off), 6-Month (20% off) and Yearly (30% off). Pick a cycle when you activate the addon from the /subscription page. If you already run the other vertical addon, the 10% bundle discount is applied on top automatically.

If your connection drops while the POS is open, ninoPOS keeps working — sales are saved on the device and sync automatically when you reconnect (no duplicates). Note: you do need internet to first open the app each day.
