Warehouse Locations
Overview
Manage one or more warehouses separately from stores. Warehouses hold stock; stores sell it. Transfers move stock between warehouses + stores.
Step-by-Step Guide
1
Add Warehouse
Settings → Warehouses → New Warehouse. Name, address, contact, default storekeeper.
2
Receive Stock
Goods Received Notes (GRN) can target a warehouse instead of a store — the standard flow for businesses with a central warehouse + multiple retail outlets.
3
Transfer to Store
Inventory → Transfers → New Transfer. Source warehouse → destination store. Stock decrements from warehouse, increments at store.
4
Warehouse Stock Report
Reports → Inventory → Warehouse Stock. What's sitting at HQ vs what's on retail shelves.
Tips & Best Practices
Tip: For chains with 3+ stores, a central warehouse is the difference between paying once at supplier-truck volume vs paying per-store retail-truck rates.
