Restaurant Orders

Overview

Take and manage restaurant orders efficiently using the NinoPOS restaurant module. Supports dine-in, takeaway, delivery, and self-ordering via QR codes.

Step-by-Step Guide

Open Order Screen

Go to Restaurant → Orders → New or tap a table on the floor plan view.

Select Order Type

Choose Dine-in, Takeaway, or Delivery. For dine-in, select the table number.

Add Items

Browse categories or search by name. Tap items to add to the order. Apply modifiers (extra cheese, no onions) as needed.

Send to Kitchen

Click Send to Kitchen. The order appears instantly on the Kitchen Display System (KDS) at the correct station.

Manage Course Timing

Mark items as starters, mains, or desserts to control firing times. The kitchen sees course groupings.

Bill & Pay

When ready, click Bill to generate the final bill. Split bills by item or equally. Process payment via cash, card, or M-Pesa.

Tips & Best Practices

Tip: Use the Hold & Fire feature to pause mains until starters are cleared.
Tip: Enable Auto-print in settings to automatically print KOTs (Kitchen Order Tickets) when sent.
