WhatsApp Integration

Overview

Send invoices, receipts, payment reminders, order confirmations, and reservation reminders via WhatsApp. Customers respond on the channel they already use daily.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Connect WhatsApp Business

Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp Business. Click Connect. Scan QR with the phone running your WhatsApp Business account.

2

Verify

Send a test message from the integration page to your own number. Confirm it arrives.

3

Choose What to Send via WhatsApp

Per surface — Invoices / Receipts / Payment reminders / Order confirmations / Reservation reminders — pick WhatsApp (instead of or alongside Email/SMS).

4

Templates

Edit the message template for each event type. Use placeholders like {customer_name}, {invoice_link}, {amount}.

5

Customer Replies

Replies land in Settings → Conversations so any team member can respond. Avoids the "WhatsApp message stuck on one person's phone" problem.

Tips & Best Practices

Tip: WhatsApp open rates are typically 70-90% vs ~20% for email — for time-sensitive messages (overdue payment, reservation reminder) it's the most effective channel.
Note: WhatsApp Business API enforces template approval for outbound messages outside the 24-hour conversation window. The system surfaces template status; failed templates get flagged.
