Storage Settings

Overview

Where uploaded files (product photos, brand logos, document attachments, receipts) get stored. Default is NinoPOS-managed; bring-your-own-S3 / R2 / Spaces is supported on Advanced and above.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Open Storage Settings

Settings → Storage.

2

Default (Managed)

Most tenants stay here. NinoPOS handles backups, CDN delivery, image optimisation. Storage quota scales with plan.

3

Self-Hosted (S3-compatible)

Plug in your own AWS S3 / Cloudflare R2 / DigitalOcean Spaces credentials. Useful for tenants with existing storage contracts or data-sovereignty requirements.

4

Quota Monitoring

See current usage + projected when next quota tier kicks in. Email alerts at 80% and 100%.

Tips & Best Practices

Tip: Product photos eat the most storage. Bulk-resize before upload (max 1600×1600px is plenty for a storefront product image).
Note: Switching from managed to self-hosted does NOT auto-migrate existing files. Plan a migration window or contact support for a managed migration.
