Overview
Every sale you make is saved automatically. Sales reports turn all those sales into simple numbers and charts, so you can answer questions like:
- How much money did I make today? This month?
- Which products sell the most?
- Which customers spend the most with me?
- How much tax did I collect?
This guide shows you where the reports live, how to pick a date range or a store, what each number means in plain words, and how to download or print a report. You do not need to be good with computers โ just follow the steps.
Reports (in the sidebar) is for reading and analysing your numbers โ totals, charts, and tables you can filter and export.
POS โ Sales History is for looking at each individual sale one by one (receipt number, customer, items, cashier).
Where to Find Sales Reports
In the menu on the left side of the screen, click Reports. This opens the reports page at /reports. Everyone who is logged in can open the Reports section.

Click the arrow next to Reports to open the group. Under it you will see report families. The one you want is Sales, which has four ready-made reports:
| Report | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Daily Sales | How much you sold each day (one row per day) |
| Monthly Sales | How much you sold each month (one row per month) |
| By Product | Which products sold the most and earned the most money |
| By Customer | How much each customer bought, paid, and still owes |
On a small screen the Reports page shows a simple tappable list. Tap a report and it opens on its own page. On a computer the same reports open inside one page with a filter bar at the top. The numbers are the same either way.
Reading the Reports Page
When the Reports page opens on a computer, you see a filter bar across the top and the report below it. Here is what each part does.
The filter bar
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Category | Choose the family of reports. Pick Sales for sales reports. |
| Report | Choose the exact report โ Daily Sales, Monthly Sales, Sales by Product, or Sales by Customer. |
| Store | Only appears if you have more than one store. Pick which store's sales to show. |
| Date Range | Two date boxes, a start date and an end date ("to"). The report only counts sales between these two dates. |
| Search reports | Type a few letters to quickly find a report by name in the Report list. |
If you leave both date boxes empty, the report uses its own default period (for example Daily Sales usually shows this month). To be sure of what you are seeing, always set a start date and an end date.
Step-by-Step: View Your Sales for a Period
Click Reports in the sidebar. In the filter bar, set Category to Sales. Then in Report, pick Daily Sales (or whichever sales report you want).
Click the start date box and choose the first day you want to include. Then click the end date box (after the word "to") and choose the last day.
- Today's sales: set both start and end to today.
- This month: start = the 1st of the month, end = today.
- Last month: start = 1st of last month, end = last day of last month.
If the Store box is shown, choose the store you want. If you only have one store, this box is hidden and the report already shows that store.
The report loads by itself when you change the report, dates, or store. At the top you see summary cards (the big totals), then a chart, then a table with one row per day. If you ever think the numbers look old, click Refresh at the top right to load them again.
What the Big Numbers Mean
Each sales report shows summary cards at the top. Here is what they mean, in plain words.
| Card | Plain meaning |
|---|---|
| Total Revenue | All the money from sales in the period you chose โ the grand total your customers paid, including tax. |
| Total Orders | How many separate sales (receipts / invoices) happened in that period. |
| Tax Collected | The tax portion inside those sales โ the money you collected on behalf of the government (for example VAT). |
| Avg Order | The average size of one sale. It is Total Revenue divided by Total Orders. A rising average means customers are spending more each visit. |
Total Revenue is what came in. It does not remove what you paid for the goods. To see profit (money left after costs), open the Financial category and look at the Profit & Loss report.
The chart and the table
Below the cards is a bar chart โ each bar is one day (or one month) so you can quickly see your busy and quiet days. Under the chart is a table with the same numbers in rows. You can click a column heading to sort, and use the small search box in the table to filter rows.
The Four Sales Reports Explained
1. Daily Sales
One row for each day. Good for spotting which days of the week are strong. The columns are:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Date | The day. |
| Invoices | How many sales happened that day. |
| Sales | The value of goods sold before tax (the subtotal). |
| Tax | The tax added on top that day. |
| Total | Sales plus Tax โ the full amount taken that day. |
2. Monthly Sales
The same idea, but one row per month. Best for comparing this month to last month, or seeing your busy season across the year. Columns are Month, Invoices, Sales, Tax, and Total.
3. Sales by Product
Shows which products are your best sellers. Columns are:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Product | The product name. |
| SKU | The product's code. |
| Quantity Sold | How many units of it you sold. |
| Revenue | The total money that product brought in. |
Sort by Quantity Sold to see your fast movers, then make sure you keep enough of them in stock. See Managing Stock Levels.
4. Sales by Customer
Shows how much each customer bought and whether they still owe you. Columns are:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Customer | The customer's name. |
| Their email address. | |
| Invoices | How many times they bought from you. |
| Total Invoiced | The total value you billed them. |
| Paid | How much they have paid so far. |
| Due | How much they still owe. |
| Overdue | The part of "Due" that is past its due date. |

Excel JSON Print
(CSV) (for apps) (paper /
save as PDF)
- Excel (CSV) โ opens in Excel or Google Sheets so you can do your own sums.
- JSON โ a data file mainly for other software; most owners will not need this.
- Print โ sends the report to your printer. In the print window you can usually choose "Save as PDF" instead of paper.
When you open a single report on its own page (for example on a phone), you get PDF, Excel, and Print buttons at the top. The PDF button makes a ready-to-share PDF file straight away.
Multiple Currencies
If you sell in more than one currency, the sales reports can show everything converted into one currency so the totals make sense together. On a single report page you may see a small "View" switch with these choices:
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Consolidated currency | All sales converted into one currency (you can type the currency code, or it uses your company currency). |
| Original currency | Each sale in the currency it was actually made in. |
| Side-by-side | Both the original amount and the converted amount, next to each other. |
If the report cannot convert a currency because there is no exchange rate, it will tell you which currency was left out. Add the missing rate in Settings โ Currency and run the report again.
Looking at Individual Sales (Sales History)
Reports show totals. When you need to check one specific sale โ for example a customer says "I paid you yesterday" โ use the Sales History page instead.
Click POS in the sidebar to open the till. From there open Sales History (the page at /pos/sales). It lists every completed POS sale for the store you are working in, newest first.
Each row shows the receipt number, the payment method (Cash, Card, Mobile Money), the customer name, the number of items, the total, and which cashier made the sale. Click a row to expand it and see the exact items and their prices. Use Prev and Next at the bottom to move through the pages.
Sales History always shows sales for your currently active store, named at the top of the page. Switch your active store first if you need a different one.
Common Questions

| Numbers look out of date | Click Refresh at the top right of the Reports page. |
| Revenue looks too high | Remember Total Revenue includes tax. For after-cost numbers, use the Profit & Loss report under the Financial category. |
