Overview

Take, manage, and seat reservations. Drag-and-drop on a timeline, capacity guards against overbooking, customer reminders go out automatically.

Step-by-Step Guide

Open Reservations

Restaurant → Reservations. Timeline view of today; date picker for upcoming.

New Reservation

Click empty time slot → new reservation form. Customer (search or create new), party size, time, special requests, table preference.

Auto-Confirmation

On save, the customer gets an SMS/email confirming the booking with a one-click cancel link.

Reminder

Auto-sent 2 hours before the reservation (configurable). Cuts no-show rate dramatically.

Seat on Arrival

On the day, when the party arrives, click their reservation → Seat → pick table. Reservation status flips to Seated and the table goes live.

Tips & Best Practices

Tip: Mark a customer as "VIP" or "frequent" on their record so the reservation list flags them — staff can pre-prep their preferred table.
Tip: Walk-ins still use the Tables view; reservations and walk-ins co-exist on the same floor plan without conflict.
