Online Orders

Overview

Receive and manage orders from your storefront, WhatsApp catalog, or any integrated channel. Online orders land in the same Orders inbox as POS sales so fulfillment is one queue, not three.

Step-by-Step Guide

Open Orders Inbox

Sidebar → Orders → Inbox. New orders appear with a NEW badge + sound notification (configurable).

Confirm or Reject

One-click Confirm sends a confirmation to the customer + reserves the stock. Reject (with reason) returns the stock and notifies the customer.

Fulfill

Open the order → pick items → mark Ready for Pickup or Out for Delivery. The customer gets an SMS/WhatsApp update at each stage.

Capture Payment

If the order was COD, capture payment via POS at handover. For pre-paid orders (M-Pesa STK Push), payment is already settled.

Close

Mark Delivered. The order moves to history and triggers a satisfaction survey email 24h later (optional, configurable).

Tips & Best Practices

Tip: Stock is reserved at confirm time, not at order time — prevents the "ordered online, sold in store before fulfillment" double-sell.
Tip: For high-volume restaurants, route Online Orders straight to the Kitchen Display under Settings → KDS routing.
