Bulk Price Editing

Overview

Update prices on many products at once — by %, by fixed amount, or by manual override. Useful for inflation passes, promotional resets, or supplier-cost pass-through.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Open Bulk Edit

Products → Bulk Edit → Update Prices.

2

Filter Products

Narrow to a category, supplier, or saved list. The next operations apply only to filtered products.

3

Pick Adjustment

Increase/decrease by % (e.g. +10%), by fixed amount (+TZS 500), or set to a calculated value (e.g. cost × 1.30 = 30% margin).

4

Preview

The preview shows old → new for every affected product. Round to nearest 100 / 500 / 1000 if you want clean price points.

5

Apply

Click Apply. All changes commit in one transaction + leave an audit trail per product (old price, new price, who, when).

Tips & Best Practices

Tip: For inflation passes, run +5% on everything quarterly rather than +20% annually — customers notice the once-a-year jump much more than the gradual creep.
Tip: Always Export-to-Excel BEFORE applying — gives you a rollback target if you mis-filtered.
Note: Bulk edits are irreversible in one click but reversible via the audit log (manual per-product reset). Don't batch >500 products without a coffee + double-check.
