Attendance Tracking

Overview

Track who showed up, when they clocked in, and how many hours they worked. Feeds payroll and the leaves system automatically.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Choose Check-In Method

HRM → Settings → Attendance. Options: web check-in (employee logs in and clicks Check In), biometric integration, or manager-marked.

2

Employee Checks In

On their dashboard, the employee sees a Check In button. Click on arrival, Check Out on departure. Geolocation is optional.

3

Manager Override

HRM → Attendance → Daily View. Managers can mark absent / on-leave / late for any team member. All edits leave an audit trail.

4

Calculate Hours

The system computes worked hours per day = check-out - check-in - breaks. Late thresholds and overtime rules are configured per company.

5

Review Reports

HRM → Reports → Attendance Summary. Filter by employee, department, or date range. Export to CSV for payroll cross-check.

Tips & Best Practices

Tip: Attendance feeds Payroll: unpaid leave or absent days automatically deduct from the paycheck if your payroll rules include attendance-based pay.
Tip: Set a grace period (e.g. 10 minutes) for "late" so you don't flag everyone who hits traffic.
